Job Description

Cintas is seeking a Category Manager I that manages and develops the sourcing strategy to meet the needs of internal customers and stakeholders. The Category Manager will work in-office out of our Corporate office in Mason, Ohio. This role is responsible for analyzing category spend to achieve cost saving goals, gain best product value, and manage current supplier performance and risk mitigation. The Category Manager will drive innovation for all products assigned within the category.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Using critical negotiating and competitive bidding skills to deliver cost control and reduction with current and prospective suppliers
Managing supplier contracts and continuous supplier performance evaluation relative to business needs and market conditions
Conduct supplier financial review, initiate and maintain purchase agreements, and supplier business reviews.

Skills/Qualifications

Required:

High school diploma/GED;

Proficiency in Excel

Preferred:

Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience in SAP preferred
Experience in Ariba preferred
2+ years’ Supply Chain experience
2+ years' Sourcing/Purchasing experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and intranet/internet
