Job Description

Cintas is seeking a Commerce Modernization Developer - Level 3 to join the Commerce team within IT. This role will help drive the modernization of Cintas' digital commerce ecosystem by designing, developing, integrating, and supporting customer-facing commerce capabilities using ReactJS, NextJS, Java, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, APIs, microservices, and composable commerce technologies including commercetools. The position will collaborate closely with product teams, architects, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, reliable, and maintainable commerce solutions aligned with business and enterprise architecture objectives.

Skills/Qualifications

Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 6 years of professional software development experience delivering enterprise applications.
Minimum 5 years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architectures.
Minimum 3 years of experience developing modern web applications using ReactJS.
Experience developing solutions using commercetools or similar enterprise commerce platforms, with demonstrated ability to learn and support composable commerce technologies
Experience developing modern web applications using ReactJS and related frameworks such as NextJS
Strong experience with JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, HTML5, Tailwind CSS, CSS3, responsive design, and modern front-end development practices.
Experience integrating commerce platforms with ERP, CRM, OMS, PIM, payment, search, and identity-management platforms using REST APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, API security, secure coding practices, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, debugging, and production support.
Experience communicating technical solutions, risks, and dependencies to both technical and business stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum product delivery teams and participating throughout the software development lifecycle.
Experience providing technical guidance, mentoring developers, conducting code reviews, and promoting development best practices.

Preferred:
Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Salsify PIM, enterprise search, personalization, or order-management platforms.
Experience with NextJS Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns, GraphQL, API gateways, messaging, or event-driven architectures.
Experience deploying containerized applications to cloud platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Cloud Run.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, and observability tools such as Dynatrace.
Experience supporting high-volume B2B and/or B2C commerce applications.
Experience with SAP ERP/CRM integrations, payment processing, CIAM, accessibility standards, SEO, Core Web Vitals, and web performance optimization.
Cloud (GCP/AWS/Azure), Java, SAP, commercetools, Kubernetes, or related technical certification(s)
Experience working for a large, complex, multi-site organization.
