Job Description

Cintas is seeking a Corporate Accounts Payable Specialist. Responsibilities include supporting the Accounts Payable Department and field locations with a range of moderately complex accounts payable transactions and report preparation, analysis and review in a timely manner; providing contributions to process improvements; independently identifying and providing solutions to problems and questions; develop, prepare and analyze spreadsheets and reports to track and/or monitor financial transactions and/or internal controls and procedures; posting data to financial systems and worksheets; conducting quarterly self-audits to verify reports and transactions; responding to complex and difficult inquiries that require more analyses and problem solving; actively participating in process improvement and department projects; leading projects and presenting results to Leadership and Accounts Payable Department as requested; training new or current employee-partners in work procedures and providing feedback to supervisors; assisting with assigning work and monitoring progress within the team.

Skills/Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2+ years' Accounting or Accounts Payable experience
  • Strong computer skills, including extensive SAP experience and high-intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, including downloads, uploads, formulas, VLOOKUP and pivot tables
  • Ability to extract data from systems for use in preparing accounting reports and statements and ability to review data for reasonableness and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop and implement solutions
  • Ability to learn quickly and use judgement and initiative to determine the approach of action in non-routine situations
  • Ability to perform work with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to give detailed instructions effectively and provide feedback on training in a professional manner
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and work across organization functional boundaries to meet deadlines
