Job Description

Cintas is seeking a Senior Government Contract Specialist to collaborate, provide direction and support to sales and leadership with negotiating terms and conditions of new or renewal customer contracts with Federal, state, and local government agencies. Review and analyze contracts for compliance with Service Contract Act (SCA), if and where applicable. Advise Cintas on proper procedures relating to industry practices and government stipulations when performing on contracts. Support Cintas and division strategic goals and objectives. The Senior Government Contract Specialist will work directly with customer in negotiating terms and conditions. Assist sales and leadership with prospecting government contract business, completing response to requests for proposal, evaluate contract language for compliance challenges. Organize and prepare complex documents by using multiple computer applications (such as Microsoft Office), while also gathering and summarizing data for special reports. Highlight shortcomings and suggests improvements in current compliance processes, systems, and procedures within assigned unit and/or discipline. Create and perform training in government contract space.  And perform standard and non-routine administrative data processing tasks for the principle and gives colleagues advice on the proper performance of departmental processes.



  • High School diploma or GED required. College degree preferred
  • 5+ years sound experience and understanding of government contracts, including:
    • reading and applying regulations,
    • prospecting,
    • evaluating contract language,
    • understanding contract elements,
    • oversight of and direct participation in government contract compliance activities,
    • training
  • Knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA)
