Job Description

The Senior Manager of Community Engagement works closely with the Vice President of Corporate Affairs in setting and executing Cintas’ community engagement strategy in our headquarters city. This role executes company-sponsored programs, manages company-wide partnerships with philanthropic organizations, and provides guidance and tools to enhance the local community engagement efforts of 450+ Cintas operations across the U.S. and Canada. This role is also the Executive Director of the Cintas Cares Foundation and is responsible for managing all aspects of the foundation, including compliance, investment, grants, and fund-raising activities.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop and execute strategies to build and maintain strong relationships between Cintas and its surrounding community to protect and enhance the company’s reputation and ability to attract talent while increasing partner engagement
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for individual and company participation in local philanthropic and civic organizations that align with Cintas’ culture and priorities 
  • Develop and execute location level strategies to continue to advance engagement from field level partners in our company-wide initiatives along with local community initiatives”
  • Lead, develop and execute Cintas-based programs across the company.
  • Develop, manage, and implement an annual stewardship plan to meet budgetary goals for Cintas Cares Foundation revenue
  • Work closely with Corporate Communications to develop informative and engaging content around philanthropic and community engagement activities
  • Develop and distribute internally and externally an annual philanthropic impact report

Skills/Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years experience in community engagement, with a deep understanding of grantmaking practices and philanthropy
  • Strong leadership and strategic planning skills, with the ability to develop and execute complex initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Financial acumen, including budget management and reporting
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory compliance issues related to foundations

Preferred:

  • Bachelors or Associate degree
  • Passion for social impact and commitment to aligning philanthropy with the company's mission
  • Knowledge of the local community and the ability to represent the organization effectively
